Monarch Comfort Underlay

A great value, heavy duty carpet underlay with a rubber underside and wool cushion on top. This stops rugs slipping and creeping, whilst adding comfort to thinner rugs & kilims. It helps insulate cold floors and to level uneven flagstones or floor boards  and at the same time protects the back of the carpet from premature wear.

It has great sound deadening performance and with it's excellent tog rating it is lovely and warm underfoot.

Approx 8mm thick. Made from recycled, bonded virgin wool fibre top layer with a recycled rubber crumb underside. It has a tog rating of 3.23.

Not specifically made for rugs but works brilliantly. It makes such a safe and comfortable difference. As many of our repeat customers would agree, it's all round good stuff!

We have listed standard rug sizes opposite but we understand that rugs come in all shapes and dimensions, so if your rug size differs then let us know and we'll tailor it to suit free of charge!

PLEASE NOTE: We cut the underlay between 4-6cm smaller than the rug size, all round. This is so you don't see the edge of the underlay, but more importantly so the edges of the rug don't stand proud causing a potential tripping hazard.

If you need the exact size mentioned opposite then please call or email us to order, otherwise you may find the underlay a bit too small!

ALSO: due to roll widths, rug sizes over 145cm wide will be supplied as two or more pieces (depending on rug size), but don't worry, this doesn't reduce it's performance and you do not need to tape the pieces together.

Delivery within the UK is FREE!* We use CSM delivery and you can expect your new goodies to be there in 2-3 working days, sometimes even next day. However, orders placed after 12pm on a Friday will be delivered to you on the following Wednesday.
